Project: 2Play
The stuff of a good story surrounds us. Life’s so much stranger than fiction, don’t you think? Airplay, Radio National's weekly radio performance program, is inviting you to dream up something or tap in to real life for your inspiration, to produce an original 5 minute long radio play for two people:
AIRPLAY is a dedicated space for contemporary Australia writing and performance—that’s why we want to hear new stories for the medium told by you.
In this callout, 2Play, we've uploaded a number of free sounds that you can use to help get you started. So, bounce off these for inspiration to write and record your own dialogue.
We encourage you to go further—record and use more sounds that will create the atmosphere for your unique, 5 minute radio drama.
You could even write the music—beware of using commercial recordings unless you have obtained appropriate copyright permission.
And don’t forget to tag your work '2Play' so others can find it easily.
We’ll highlight the best work on the front page of Pool, and then it may also be broadcast, or a longer piece commissioned, later down the track.
