Project: Sound Quality
Want to hear something different?
Join the Sound Quality Group; a new music community of musos and listeners. Participate to hear great music, find composers to collaborate and share with, give and receive constructive feedback, contribute to forums and have your work auditioned for broadcast on the ABC.
Radio National's Sound Quality presenter Tim Ritchie is looking for fresh material to air on his show and is calling out to composers of the interesting, the evolutionary, the inaccessible and the wonderful... Tim's into bent forms of folk, ambient, electro, skip hop, nu jazz, electronica, glitch, bleep hop and an assortment of other mutating, crossover styles.
So if you are interested in being heard and putting your work out there - join Pool, become a member of the Sound Quality Group and then upload your work. Tim will give you feedback and audition the piece for broadcast. To check out updates and listen to Pool contributions that have been aired, visit Tim Ritchie's Sound Quality Pool Page.
The Sound Quality Group is also a great space for those more into listening than making. Engage with the community and by giving feedback on new work, contributing to forum discussions and uploading blog posts to the group.
It's also a site where media practitioners can find creative commons licensed music for their projects and network with composers interested in cross-media collaborations.
As a Sound Quality Group member you can opt in (or out) of email updates, comment on work and forum discussions, contribute work or blog posts to the group, keep up with what's going on with the Radio National broadcast and generally stay in tune.
