It was a sad moment for the Charter's Towers mayor (who, apparently, is also a body builder) when the Q150 train rolled into the station powered by a Diesel engine instead of steam. He had his speech all ready to go, complete with an ode to his love of steam which stemmed back from his childhood days. 'Oh, well,' he said. 'I'm going ahead with my speech regardless.' Good on him.
