    Your photography is very beautiful - what kind of camera and settings are you using? The absence of human figures in your photos is so disquieting.. the empty city is very surreal.

    Thank you! For this shot I used a Canon EOS 40D digital SLR, and a Canon 15mm f/2.8 fisheye lens. The 1.6x sensor crop reduces most of the fisheye warp, to just leave a small sense of distortion. I balanced the camera on the ledge behind me and used a very slow shutter speed, 2 or 3 seconds I think, to get as much light into the frame as possible and to enhance the flares from the street lights.

    I deliberately shot this at about 3am in order to make sure there were no people. I wanted to make sure that the focus of the shot was this amazing man-made world of concrete, glass & light - living and breathing on its own, without any of its creators / inhabitants.
