Text: FORGOTTEN radiophonic feature for Radio National's 'The Night Air'

FORGOTTEN is a 90-minute radiophonic remix on the theme of ‘forgotten’.

The program was commissioned by ABC Radio National’s The Night Air and produced by RMIT Media students as part of the third year course, Production Project 2 - Radio Active Space studio. The project was co-supervised by Kyla Brettle and John Jacobs.

Students were asked to research and analyse The Night Air sound and then gather and pool together source materials for the isolation remix. A starting point for this collection was the LOST FEATURES documentary series.

After individually producing 5-minute radiophonic sketches, students remixed eachothers to create a second audio montage. The program will be assembled by Kyla Brettle and broadcast early 2010.
